Through AirBnB I rent a room with Gökhan and Nil, who are both in their last year of their teaching studies. They invite me to Köfte on the second evening. As a thank you I cook them Kässpätzle on my last evening (even if I didn't find the right noodles or the right cheese).

At the promenade of Çanakkale stands the Trojan horse, which served as a requisite in the Holywood blockbuster "Troja" with Brad Pit. After the filming it was donated to the city.

Çanakkale is my base for a trip to Troy, which is very close by. I also get a tip from Gökhan that there is a beautiful castle ruin near a reservoir.
